on the outside

The movement of external life - life on the outside - is mirrored in the mythopoetic, the mythic stories that accompany us throughout our life. Nostalgia of our past and the potential of our future make up the fabric of these woven stories. Beyond the horizon of the future or the buried earth of our past, is the potential in the present moment, of engaging with the imagination and creative stories right in front of us. The myths of the past and the present collapse into the here and now. Our unique histories are mirrored by the everyday poetry of life.
This series examines the dynamic relationship between the human experiences of memory, place, and perception, and the interplay between these subjective experiences and our immediate environment.
